Air India and Singapore Airport Terminal Services (AISATS), the leading provider of integrated Ground Handling in India and Singapore respectively, have formed a JV to provide Ground Handling services to Domestic and International carriers at Bangalore and Hyderabad International Airports. AISATS invites applications from eligible candidates for the upcoming project at Bangalore International Airport, Devanahalli, on a three year fixed-term contract as per the requirements and to maintain a wait list. Graduates with minimum of 5 yrs experience in Ground-handling Operations either in Control Center Management, Customer Service, Line Training Unit will be considered for this position.

Supervisor

Qualification

Graduates with minimum of 1 year experience in Ground-handling agency, passenger handling, fares, reservation, ticketing with any airline or from a hospitality industry will be considered for Supervisor position.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate in Foreign Language like French, German, Spanish, etc. is preferable. Must be willing to work in rotating shifts.

Agent II

Qualification

For Agent II position preference will be given to graduates with experience in Customer Service in Airlines/Ground Handling/ Hospitality Industry.

Height: Above 158 cms. for male candidates, 152.5 cms. for female candidates

Officer/Duty Manager

Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Engineering with 5 yrs of experience or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Electronics / Automobile Engineering recognized by the State Government with 8 yrs of experience or Bachelors Degree in Science with minimum 5 years of experience in Ground Handling operations, Earth moving or Material Handling equipment areas will be considered for the position of Officer/Duty Manager. Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant experience in Ramp, Load, Control and Baggage operations.

Supervisor (Ramp, Cabin Cleaning, Baggage)

Qualification

Candidates with similar educational background as mentioned above (Officer / Duty Manager) with minimum one year of experience will be considered for Supervisor position in Ramp.

For Cabin Cleaning and Baggage areas Graduate in any discipline with minimum of 1 year relevant experience,will be considered.

Ramp Handling Agent II

Qualification for Agent II –Ramp

Candidates with Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Electronics / Automobile Engineering recognized by the State Government with two years of experience in operating Ground Support Equipment such as Push Back / Tow Tractors, Main deck loaders, Lower / Universal Loaders, Earth Moving or Material handling equipment. Candidates to possess HMV License.

Qualification for Agent II - Load Control

For Load Control position, candidate with degree in science and experience in Load Control functions may apply.

Agent II

Qualification

Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial with minimum 2 years experience in rectification of snags and repair of electro-mechanical/ electrical and electronic circuits / PCBs, in Aviation Ground Handling equipment or in Earthmoving or Material handling equipment having similar electro-hydraulic circuits or Control circuits in Generating & Air conditioning Systems. Supervisor in GSE Maintenance will be leading the Maintenance Team to ensure serviceable GSE & upkeep of the Maintenance Facility.

Supervisor Quality Control apart from the test mentioned above will have to appear for case based test which will assess their knowledge on Quality Standards.

Agent II

Ramp

For Ramp positions applicants will have to appear for an additional Technical Test (Heavy Vehicle operations) in addition to a written Basic Aptitude, English comprehension followed by two rounds of personal interview. Require to operate and maintain sophisticated ground handling equipment.

Maintenance

For Maintenance positions applicants will have to appear for an additional Technical Test (Mechanical/Electrical) in addition to a written Basic Aptitude, English comprehension test followed by two rounds of personal interview.

Agent II (Load Control, Baggage and Cabin Cleaning)

Applicants will have to appear for a written Basic Aptitude, English comprehension test followed by two rounds of personal interview. Able to perform work with speed and accuracy, customer-oriented and quality driven.

Agent I - Ramp

Applicants will have to appear for a Basic English Comprehension Test followed by a Practical Test (which will assess driving skills and basic technical knowledge of motor vehicle). Require to operate ground handling equipments likes tractor, motorized conveyor belt loader and positioning non-motorised equipment at parking bays including towing duties.

Lead Assistant (Baggage, Cabin Cleaning and Ramp)

Applicants will have to appear for a Basic English Comprehension Test (reading and understanding) followed by two rounds of interviews.

Applicants will have to undergo a physical endurance test running of 100 meters in 19 seconds and those who qualify will have to appear for report writing. Those who qualify in report writing test will be called for two rounds of personal interviews. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills and be customer oriented.

Cargo Operations (Job Code : CO)

Agent – I - Equipment Operator

Applicant will have to appear for a written English comprehension test followed by a practical test (which will assess driving skills) and two rounds of personal interview. Will be responsible to retrieve cargo from storage locations for build-up. Maintain the vehicle (e.g. washing, refueling, topping up of engine oil and water, etc) and ensure serviceability and cleanliness of the vehicle.

Agent I/II

Applicants may have to appear for a written Basic Aptitude, English comprehension followed by two rounds of personal interview.

Supervisor

Applicants may have to appear for a written Aptitude, English Proficiency and case based questions (Cargo related). The applicant should be capable of leading a team of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled staff, able to work under pressure. Will be responsible for monitor cargo-handling activities and ensure that cargo operations are carried out in accordance with airline requirements and company procedures. Must be proactive, analytical and possess people management skills; customer centric approach in problem solving and decision-making.

Admin Assistant (Job Code : AA)

Agent II

Applicants will have to appear for a Basic Aptitude test, Computer Literacy and English Proficiency Test followed by a typing test and two rounds of personal interview. Candidates must be able to perform work independently with speed and accuracy and be customer-oriented.
 

General Conditions

Period of Contract: Fixed Term Contract for a period of three years, which could be terminated at the discretion of the Management during the tenure of contract, and/or in the event of unsatisfactory performance or company requirements. The job is transferable to any station in India as per company requirement.

Relaxation of height requirement up to 2.54 cms (1”) will be considered for Gorkhas, Garhwalis and those hailing from North-East States & hilly areas. This relaxation will be granted to candidates who produce a Certificate of Domicile of these areas.

Consideration of SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per Government Directives on reservation of posts.

Photocopy of Caste Certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be enclosed in case of SC/ST candidates.

Reservation for Physically Handicapped persons will be as per Government guidelines. Physically Handicapped candidates are required to submit the necessary medical certificate(s)/copies of documents issued by the Competent Authority for being considered under the Physically Handicapped category.
